Plan a visit
In the infant room, babies as young as six weeks settle into care for a whole day or a half day. Caregivers hold, feed and soothe them on their own schedule. Tummy time, floor play and quiet naps fill the hours between. You can ask the staff how they share each baby's day with families.
The Enfant Toddlers Program serves children thirteen months to three years. Children in this room are actively potty training or already potty-trained, and caregivers work with families on that routine. Nursery care starts a child's early orientation to childhood education. Days mix free play, songs and simple group activities. Ask the staff how they pace the day for this age.
Preschool is open to children three to four years old. The goal here is problem solving, so children practice figuring things out with their hands and with each other. Each day brings new learning and new achievements. Teachers plan activities that stretch attention and language. You can ask about the daily schedule and nap times.
Windsor Happy School provides Pre-Kindergarten for children four years of age. The program runs alongside the state's Voluntary Pre-K initiative. Four-year-olds spend their days on letters, numbers and getting ready for kindergarten. They also practice sitting in a group, taking turns and following directions. Ask the staff what a typical Pre-K day looks like.
School-age children arrive from Dutch Neck and Maurice Hawk, with transportation available. Teachers enrich daily lessons, turning tired afternoons into fun, productive experiences children look forward to. Special programs include Taekwondo, Amazing Athletes and Music. Full- and part-time care is available.
Summer Camp at Windsor Happy School is full of surprising activities, with children of various ages together through the day. Campers join special programs like Taekwondo, Amazing Athletes and Music.
