The Preschool room

Preschool is for children 3 to 4 years old. In this room, children choose activities and work at their own pace. They build with blocks, paint at the easel, and listen to stories.

Teachers plan projects that help children solve problems. A child might figure out how to balance a tower or share a puzzle piece. These moments build confidence and new skills.

By the end of the year, your child is ready for the next step. They learn to follow routines, take turns, and try new things. Preschool prepares them to seize each day with new learning and new achievements.

What to expect

Summer Camp. Summer Camp at Windsor Happy School is for children of various ages. The program includes activities and a small day trip with friends and family. Registration is now open. Call the school with your questions and to sign up. Summers are a good time for children to build independence, responsibility, and a love for adventure.

What this looks like in practice

In a licensed preschool room, you will see low shelves children can reach, bins sorted by what goes inside, and a table where four children can work at once. There is a large block area, a quiet corner with books, and a sink for water and paint. Children choose, teachers guide.

The benefit at home is often small and specific. Your child waits a turn. They set the table without being asked twice. They tell you a story with a beginning. Preschool builds the habit of solving a problem, which is the same skill they use later for reading and numbers.

A smiling young boy in a striped shirt sits at a table with a plate of food and a red sippy cup, holding a piece of food to his mouth.
